Okay, I have to toot my horn real quick. I have posted in the past about how to properly run a booth to produce top return. Well, someone noticed!
I was working the Zayo booth at HIMSS 2018, the largest healthcare IT conference which is held in Las Vegas each year. Someone walked by and wrote a blog mentioning me!
“Lots of positive vendor engagement today, with Hanna from Zayo Group catching our attention during my annual BFF booth crawl with the incomparable Evan Frankel. Effective strategies: catching someone’s eye, asking them what they do, asking what they are interested in at HIMSS, and figuring out how to tie it to your company. I’m going to track them down next time I’m in Boulder, Colorado.”

“The best booth person I’ve seen was Hanna from Zayo. I care very little about bandwidth provider and to be honest I’ve never heard of the company, but Hanna’s sparkling repartee got my interest. She’s a pistol down there in Hall G.”

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA since October. I haven’t been sleeping, that’s for sure. In October, I began a new position as Director of Global Field Marketing for Zayo Group. Since then I’ve been busy hiring, on-boarding, training, traveling and managing. It’s been a wild 6 months! I’ve got a ton of ideas for new posts based on all the lessons I’ve learned over the last half year.
Hello and welcome to my portfolio. I am a energetic and passionate marketing professional always on the hunt for new ideas and information.
I have ten years of digital and event marketing experience, as well as project management and campaign design.
I got my start building websites for small restaurants in my hometown. Eventually I worked my way up to run my own team at a small digital marketing firm in Raleigh. Over the years I’ve owned my own company, built a marketing department from the ground up, and headed product launches.
In 2014, I was brought in as a Product Marketing Manager to help get a brand new business area up and running. As part of my duties I trained sales on new offerings, managed six tradeshows a year, and created new avenues for the business area to educate the market. Today that business group is the most successful in the company.
In addition, I was also the Lead Project Manager for my company’s full rebrand. I’m proud to report that we completed the project on-time and under-budget.
Today I am head of marketing for zColo, the colocation business at Zayo Group. With over 60 data centers in 7 countries, every day is an adventure. Since joining Zayo marketing-influenced opportunities have increased over 1,100 percent. From app development to web design to market research – even a magazine – who knows what crazy idea I’ll come up with next.
